Vertical box mockup FAQ

Short answers about height, proportions and files.

What are the different types of box design?

The vertical boxes here are built as tuck end cartons (Perfume, Medicine and Cereal boxes), a seal end carton glued at both ends (Pasta box), a Tuck top box with a glued bottom and a corrugated Three piece box. By proportion they are tall and square, tall and slim, or tall with a wide front.

How do I design my own box?

Pick a vertical box, open Size and make the height the largest number. Click Upload artwork, put the main design on the tall front panel and check it with the box standing in 3D. Then render the image, or export the dieline as a PDF or SVG for your printer.

How to make a 3D box image?

The box here is already a 3D model built from its dieline. Turn it so it stands on its base, set the Background and render a JPG or PNG at 2K or 4K, all in your browser.

Vertical box or rectangle box: what is the difference?

A vertical box is a rectangular box whose height is the largest of its three numbers. The Rectangle boxes page also covers long and flat boxes; this page keeps to the standing ones.

How tall can a vertical box be?

The tuck end cartons go up to 350 mm inside, the Pasta box to 380 mm, the Tuck top box to 300 mm and the Three piece box to 270 mm. The Three piece box also keeps its height at most four times its width.

Can I render a vertical box in a portrait format?

Stand the box on its base and render it at 2K (2048 px) or 4K (4096 px) on the long edge, as a JPG or PNG. Choose Transparent in the Background panel and you can crop the PNG to any portrait frame in your own layout.

Can I make a box for a tall bottle?

Yes. The Tall bottle box is the Medicine box set to 85 × 85 × 330 mm, and you can type any size within 30–250 × 20–150 × 50–350 mm. The box is shown empty, with no neck insert.

Can I make a vertical box mockup for free?
