A luxury feel starts with how the lid opens. Each box below opens in its own way and has its own sheets to print.

Sizes are inside dimensions, and in the Size panel each box takes any size inside its range: 80–450 × 60–350 × 20–150 mm for the Magnetic and Book-style boxes, 60–500 × 40–400 × 20–200 mm for the Rigid box.
Where the artwork goes on a gift box
A rigid gift box is printed as separate sheets, not one flat dieline. Each sheet covers one part of the box.
The lid
The outside of the lid is what people see first. It is the Case wrap on the hinged boxes and the Lid wrap on the Rigid box.
Inside the lid
On the Magnetic and Book-style boxes, the Case liner is a sheet of its own. It shows when the lid opens.
Around the box
The walls are the Tray wrap or Base wrap on the rigid boxes, the Base on the Shoe and Telescope boxes and the Drawer on the Sliding box. Hatched areas in the flat editor are covered and will not show.

Sliding box
A drawer that slides out of an outer sleeve. The Sleeve and the Drawer are printed as separate sheets.
Three piece box
A tube body with a shallow lid at each end, taller than it is wide. For bottles or a stacked set.
Large gift box
The Magnetic box at 305 × 229 × 102 mm (12 × 9 × 4 in) in a black wrap. Room for a gift set.
How to make a gift box mockup
Pick a gift box
Choose one from the list above by how it should open: flap, hinge, lift-off lid, drawer or sleeve.
Set size and wrap
Open Size and type the inside length, width and height; on the Rigid box, also the lid height. Open Material for a White, Black or Kraft wrap on the rigid boxes.
Print each sheet
Click Upload artwork and place your design sheet by sheet: lid, liner and tray, lid and base, or sleeve and drawer. On single-sheet boxes, switch between Outside and Inside.
Open and export
Open the lid or close it with the slider, then use Render & export for an Image, or the wrap layouts from the Dieline tab.

How do I create a custom gift box?
Choose how the box should open, type its inside size, then click Upload artwork and place your design on each sheet before you render the image. When the design is settled, order a printed sample from a box maker before production.
What are some creative ideas for a gift box?
Print a message or a pattern on the Case liner so it appears when the lid opens. You can also try a sleeve with a name over a plain box, a black wrap with one light logo, or a full pattern on the Tray wrap.
Magnetic, book-style or lift-off lid: which gift box should I use?
The Magnetic box has a hinged lid with a front flap that folds down to close, and the Book-style box opens like a book cover with no flap; on both the lid stays attached. The Rigid box has a lift-off lid that goes down over the base, with a lid height you set. In corrugated board, the Shoe and Telescope boxes also have a lid over a base, and the Sliding box has a drawer.
Can I print the inside of the gift box lid?
Yes, on the Magnetic and Book-style boxes: the Case liner is a separate sheet that covers the inside of the case, lid included. The Rigid box prints the Lid wrap and the Base wrap instead.
Can I add a ribbon to the gift box mockup?
There is no ribbon part in the model. Draw the ribbon into your artwork before you upload it, or add one afterwards in your own image editor.
What size gift box do I need?
Measure the gift or the whole set, add room around it and type that as the inside size. The Magnetic and Book-style boxes take 80–450 × 60–350 × 20–150 mm and the Rigid box 60–500 × 40–400 × 20–200 mm. For a tall gift use the Three piece box, and for a gift that is shipped use the Gift mailer box.
Can I get a print file for a rigid gift box?
Yes. The Dieline tab exports the wrap layouts of the rigid boxes as a PDF or SVG at full size, and the dieline of every other box on this page. Check the files with your box maker before production.
Can I make a gift box mockup for free?
Browsing the boxes and turning them in 3D is free. Log in with an email code or Google to upload artwork, save projects and render images. Exporting a rendered image or a dieline needs a free account; rendering and downloads are free right now.
