iPhone 17 Pro
Apple announced iPhone 17 Pro, the 6.3-inch model in its 2025 Pro lineup, on September 9, 2025, and it went on sale on September 19.[1] It runs on A19 Pro and swaps the titanium design of iPhone 16 Pro for an aluminum unibody.[1][5]
Display
Its Super Retina XDR panel is 2622 × 1206 pixels at 460 ppi, supports ProMotion up to 120Hz, and carries the Dynamic Island at the top.[2] In portrait, full-screen artwork is 1206 × 2622 pixels.[2] Designs made for iPhone 17 or iPhone 16 Pro fit without resizing, since both list the identical size and resolution.[4][5]
Design and colors
Apple describes the three finishes as a bold Cosmic Orange, an elegant Deep Blue and a refined Silver.[1][3] The frame and body are a single aluminum unibody, and the back is textured matte Ceramic Shield.[3]
What was new
Compared with the titanium iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro gained a plateau that runs from side to side across the back, holding the Fusion Ultra Wide, Fusion Main and Fusion Telephoto cameras.[3] On the front, the new 18MP Center Stage camera uses the first square front camera sensor on iPhone.[1][2]
