iPhone 17
iPhone 17 is the standard model of Apple's 2025 iPhone lineup, announced on September 9, 2025 and released on September 19.[1] It has a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion, bigger and brighter than the display on iPhone 16.[1][2]
Display
The display is 2622 × 1206 pixels at 460 ppi, refreshes at up to 120Hz, and has an Always-On mode that drops to 1Hz.[2] Held upright, a full-screen image is 1206 × 2622 pixels. iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro use the same size and resolution, so one screen design fits all three.[2][4][5]
Design and colors
iPhone 17 comes in five finishes: Black, White, Mist Blue, Sage and Lavender.[3] The front is Ceramic Shield 2, which Apple rates at three times the scratch resistance of the previous generation, and the borders around the display are thinner than on iPhone 16.[1]
Cameras and controls
On the back, a 48MP Dual Fusion system pairs a Fusion Main and a Fusion Ultra Wide camera in a vertical layout. The front has an 18MP Center Stage camera inside the Dynamic Island, and the side carries the Action button and Camera Control.[1][2]
