iPhone 16 Plus
Apple announced iPhone 16 Plus alongside iPhone 16 on September 9, 2024 as the 6.7-inch version of its standard model, and it went on sale on September 20.[1] It runs on the A18 chip and adds the Action button and Camera Control.[1][2]
Display
The Super Retina XDR display is 2796 × 1290 pixels at 460 ppi and includes the Dynamic Island at the top.[2] Artwork for the portrait screen should measure 1290 × 2796 pixels.[2] iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max share the 6.7-inch size and this resolution, so screens made for them can be reused here.[4][5]
Design and colors
The five colors are Ultramarine, Teal, Pink, White and Black.[3] A contoured-edge anodized aluminum band surrounds a textured matte glass back.[3] Apple lists color-infused back glass for the Black, Pink, Teal and Ultramarine models.[2]
Camera layout
Two rear cameras, a 48MP Fusion and a 12MP Ultra Wide, are aligned vertically.[2][3] The Fusion camera also enables an optical-quality 2x Telephoto option.[1] On the frame, the Action button is upper left and Camera Control lower right.[3]
