Wiki
iPhone 15 Plus
iPhone 15 Plus is the larger of Apple's two standard 2023 iPhones, announced on September 12, 2023 and released on September 22.[1] It has a 6.7-inch display with the Dynamic Island, an aluminum design and color-infused back glass.[1][2]
Display
The Super Retina XDR panel is 2796 × 1290 pixels at 460 ppi and peaks at 2000 nits outdoors.[2] Portrait artwork should be 1290 × 2796 pixels, with the Dynamic Island cut into the top of the screen.[2][3] iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max match this size and resolution, so the same design works across all three.[2][4][5]
Design and colors
Its five colors are Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue and Black.[2][3] Apple infuses the color through the back glass, an industry first by its account, and etches the glass to a textured matte finish.[1] A contoured-edge anodized aluminum band runs around the frame.[3]
What was new
Apple's announcement highlighted the Dynamic Island, a 48MP Main camera with a 2x Telephoto option, and USB-C.[1] The connector sits on the bottom edge, and the back holds two cameras, Ultra Wide and Main.[3] Instead of an Action button, this model keeps the Ring/Silent switch.[2]
