iPhone 11 Pro Max
Part of the new Pro line Apple announced on September 10, 2019, iPhone 11 Pro Max went on sale on September 20.[1] It pairs a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with Ultra Wide, Wide and Telephoto cameras.[1][2]
Display
Its OLED panel measures 2688 × 1242 pixels at 458 ppi, which gives a 1242 × 2688 canvas in portrait.[2] The notch at the top contains the TrueDepth camera for Face ID.[2] iPhone XS Max uses the same 6.5-inch size and resolution, while iPhone 11 Pro needs smaller 1125 × 2436 artwork.[4][5]
Design and colors
It was sold in Midnight Green, Silver, Space Gray and Gold, and Midnight Green was the new color that year.[1][2] The back is textured matte glass, while the stainless steel band around the frame is polished.[1][3]
Front and back cameras
Three 12MP cameras, Ultra Wide, Wide and Telephoto, sit on the back with a Dual-LED True Tone flash.[2][3] Apple rates the Telephoto at ƒ/2.0 and the Ultra Wide at a 120° field of view.[2] On the front, the TrueDepth camera moved to 12MP with a wider field of view.[1]
