Wiki
MacBook Air 13-inch 2018
MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2018) is an Intel-based Apple notebook, announced on October 30, 2018 and available in stores from November 7.[1] It brought a Retina display, Touch ID and Thunderbolt 3 ports to MacBook Air in a new wedge-shaped aluminum design.[1]
Display
The Retina display measures 13.3 inches on the diagonal, with a native resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels at 227 pixels per inch and a 16:10 aspect ratio.[2] For full-screen art, work at 2560 × 1600 pixels in landscape.[2] MacBook Air 13-inch M1 has the same size and resolution, so a single screen file covers both.[3]
Touch ID and keyboard
Touch ID, a fingerprint sensor built into the keyboard, is supported by the Apple T2 Security Chip.[1] Each key is individually backlit, the keyboard includes 12 function keys, and Apple said the Force Touch trackpad is 20 percent larger than on the previous MacBook Air.[1][2]
Design, ports and finishes
The wedge-shaped enclosure uses 100 percent recycled aluminum, measures 0.41 to 1.56 cm tall and weighs 1.25 kg.[1][2] It has two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, with a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor inside.[2] Apple sold it in Space Gray, Gold and Silver.[4]
