Wiki
Surface Laptop 4
Surface Laptop 4 is a Microsoft touchscreen laptop announced on April 13, 2021, with orders shipping from April 15.[1] It came in 13.5-inch and 15-inch sizes with 3:2 PixelSense displays, a choice of 11th Gen Intel Core or AMD Ryzen processors, and a new Ice Blue finish.[1]
Display
Both sizes have a 3:2 PixelSense touchscreen at 201 PPI: 2256 × 1504 pixels on the 13.5-inch model and 2496 × 1664 pixels on the 15-inch model.[2] For full-screen art, work in landscape at 2256 × 1504 pixels for the 13.5-inch model or 2496 × 1664 pixels for the 15-inch model; both are exactly 3:2, so artwork made for one size scales to the other without cropping.[2] The screen supports 10-point multi-touch and Surface Pen.[2]
Sizes and finishes
The 13.5-inch model came in Platinum or Ice Blue with an Alcantara palm rest, and in Matte Black or Sandstone with a metal palm rest.[2] The 15-inch model came in Platinum or Matte Black, both with a metal palm rest.[2] Microsoft's service guide lists 13.5-inch models with a fabric or a metal keyboard and 15-inch models with a metal keyboard.[3] The casing is aluminum: 308 × 223 × 14.5 mm for the 13.5-inch model and 339.5 × 244 × 14.7 mm for the 15-inch model.[2]
Processors, ports and cameras
Microsoft offered 11th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and AMD Ryzen Microsoft Surface Edition processors.[2] The ports are one USB-C, one USB-A, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a Surface Connect port, and the laptop charges over USB-C or Surface Connect.[2][4] It has a 720p front-facing camera, a Windows Hello face authentication camera and dual far-field Studio Mics.[2]
