Wiki
MacBook Air 15-inch M2
MacBook Air 15-inch M2 is the 15.3-inch MacBook Air that Apple announced on June 5, 2023 and released on June 13.[1][2] Apple called it the first 15-inch MacBook Air, and it introduced a six-speaker sound system alongside the M2 chip.[1]
Display
The Liquid Retina display measures 15.3 inches diagonally, with a native resolution of 2880 × 1864 pixels at 224 pixels per inch and 500 nits of brightness.[2] The display has rounded corners at the top, and a camera housing (the notch) is built into the screen bezel, where it can hide menu bar items or app controls behind it.[2][3] For full-screen art, work at 2880 × 1864 pixels in landscape; the part of the image behind the camera housing at the top of the screen is hidden, so keep logos and text away from it.
Design and finishes
Apple made it in Silver, Starlight, Space Gray and Midnight.[4] The fanless body is 0.45 inch (1.15 cm) high, 13.40 inches (34.04 cm) wide and 9.35 inches (23.76 cm) deep, and weighs 3.3 pounds (1.51 kg).[1][2]
Keyboard, ports and speakers
The backlit Magic Keyboard has 12 full-height function keys and Touch ID, above a Force Touch trackpad.[2] A MagSafe 3 charging port, two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack cover charging and connections.[2] The six-speaker sound system has two tweeters and two sets of force-cancelling woofers, and the camera is a 1080p FaceTime HD camera.[1][2]
