Wiki
Samsung Galaxy S21
Galaxy S21 is the 6.2-inch model of Samsung's Galaxy S21 series, introduced on January 14, 2021 and widely available from January 29.[1][2] The series introduced the Contour Cut Camera housing, which blends into the metal frame, and the Phantom Violet color.[1]
Display
The flat Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display measures 6.2 inches and 2400 × 1080 pixels (FHD+) at 421 ppi, with an adaptive refresh rate from 48 to 120Hz.[1] The front camera sits in a circular cutout at the top center of the screen.[3] For full-screen art, work at 1080 × 2400 pixels and leave room for the rounded corners and the camera hole.[1]
Design and colors
The Contour Cut Camera housing blends into the metal frame, and the back has a haze finish.[1] Samsung offered Galaxy S21 in Phantom Violet, Phantom Gray, Phantom Pink and Phantom White.[2] The body measures 151.7 × 71.2 × 7.9 mm, weighs 169 g (171 g for the mmWave version) and is rated IP68.[1]
Chip and cameras
Samsung's global release describes the chip as a 5nm 64-bit octa-core processor that may differ by market and carrier; the United States release names the Snapdragon 888 and the United Kingdom release the Exynos 2100.[1][2][4] The rear triple camera has 12MP ultra wide, 12MP wide-angle and 64MP telephoto sensors with 30X Space Zoom, and the front camera is 10MP.[1] It shipped with Android 11 and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.[1]
