iPad mini 6
iPad mini 6 is the sixth-generation iPad mini, Apple's 8.3-inch tablet, announced on September 14, 2021 and released on September 24.[1][2] It brought an all-screen design to iPad mini, with Touch ID moved to the top button, along with the A15 Bionic chip and a USB-C port.[1]
Display
The Liquid Retina display measures 8.3 inches on the diagonal, with 2266 × 1488 pixels at 326 ppi.[2] The all-screen front has rounded corners and narrow borders, which Apple made possible by moving Touch ID to the top button.[1][2] For full-screen art, work at 1488 × 2266 pixels in portrait; landscape is the same file turned.[2]
Design and finishes
Apple made it in Space Gray, Pink, Purple and Starlight.[1][2] The Wi-Fi model measures 195.4 × 134.8 × 6.3 mm and weighs 293 grams, and the Wi-Fi + Cellular model weighs 297 grams.[2] The enclosure is 100 percent recycled aluminum.[1]
Top button, USB-C and cameras
The top button holds the Touch ID sensor, and the connector is USB-C with data transfer up to 5Gbps.[1][2] Apple Pencil (2nd generation) attaches magnetically for wireless charging and pairing.[1] The back has a 12MP Wide camera with a flash, and the 12MP Ultra Wide front camera supports Center Stage.[2][3]
